  1. ok. I watched the video (Rah Rah ah ah ah.. gaga ooh la la) and I sat here for 5 minutes with my jaw on the floor for some reason. I really like that song. You know what, I like Gaga...ever since poker face! but I feel like...she has enough talent that she doesnt have to be.. on the moon, you know? Or does that kookiness make her as famous as she is? What do you think?

  2. @ Lauren: While not being a fan of her music at all (i'd rather listen to the ramblings of Wesley Willis [google him]), I have to wholeheartedly admit that her attempts at visual artistry are admirable and always catch (and sometimes keep) my attention. Her fashion statements alone walk the line between obscurity and insanity. And quite frankly, with the outlandish behavior of her peers in the entertainment industry, I don't blame her for not giving a care and coming out the box with completely nonsensical decisions. (Hence, the bubble dress)

Back to my point; a song like "Bad Romance" can easily be steered into a cliche music video because of its basic premise. But, Lady Gaga remains congruent with her persona and not only addresses the taboo nature of sexuality in our culture but also attacks it with the worst (maybe best?) intentions.

Considering the super short attention span of our microwave/internet-inspired generation, it's refreshing to watch a musician make efforts towards captivating their prospective audience with moments of whatthefuckery. It's very easy to be bored by the mold of artists in this era so I'd rather have the Madonna of the 2000s distract me with her lame Kubrick-esque scenes of sensual visual vomit instead of Beyonce's fucking leotard with high heels and typical sassy bops and hip gyrations.

Two points for Team Gaga and -32784932 points for me defending her.

    :(
