But do I have fat legs? Yes. I'm the girl that before I discovered the wonder that are Joe jeans, I couldn't get half the jeans I tried past my CALF, let alone my thigh. Don't get me wrong though: I love my legs and will take them over bony ones anyday. But are they "fat"? Si.
So as you can imagine, if jeans were difficult to find, finding high boots that actually zip over my calf has always been a nightmare. In college I thought I found a pair that worked pretty well until I was walking one day and literally dropped on the floor mid-step because I cramped up. Prompt unzipping of the boot clearly showed the indents on my poor calf where it was squished in (sad story but true).
Anyway, fast forward and I basically gave up on my search. Last year I found a pair of cute mid-calf black kitten heel boots that I heart so I was happy.
Today I went to the outlets and as I wandered around the naturalizer store, I see a cute pair of high boots, with a sign that said "wide shaft". (Wtf is right). I read the little blurb and it basically said that they were made for us women with "fuller calfs".
Ever doubtful I tried them on and holy crap!!! They fit!!! How excited was I. Add the fact that they were on sale and came in wide ... :: sigh :: I was sold!!! Thank you naturalizer for giving me hope!
